"Wayfinding Program"
Proto and the client's team designed and developed this
wayfinding program. This extensive interior and exterior
wayfinding system was fabricated from a variety of materials
and processes. Inside signage included etched stainless
steel, Braille , photo-screened graphics and dimensional
bronze letters. Tour kiosks include bronze lettering and
photo-screened graphics. Interior signing of machined bronze
glass brackets with oxidized finishes support the tempered
glass panels. The first glass panels capture layers of
frosted mylar and clear film positives to provide changeable
gallery information. The second layer of glass has permanent
photo screened graphics and the multi-color museum logo.
Outside four-sided aluminum and steel kiosk structures
with screen-printed graphics and welded dimensional aluminum
symbols direct the visitors around the campus.
