"Feet First: The Scholl Story"

This permanent exhibition is dedicated to Dr. William Mathias Scholl and the amazing structures that are our feet. Our exhibit offers hands-on interactives, including a zoetrope. Colorful displays consisting of historical photos and screen-printed graphics illustrate the human foot and its relationship to the rest of the body. A giant replica of a foot was fabricated. A computer interactive was engineered to show how the 28 bones and muscles of the foot support our body weight and enable us to walk, run and jump. Artifact mounts enable the presentation of the artifacts in our cases and audio-visual is incorporated to enhance the exhibit components.

Proto more recently was called upon to move the entire exhibit to its new home at Rosalind Franklin University. At its new location the exhibit still encompasses two galleries. The entrance to the second gallery is a re-creation of a Scholl Foot Comfort Shop from the 1930's.
