"Brushstrokes of the Past"
This 3,500 square foot underground exhibition explores
Naperville's formation, growth, and progression into a
vital Midwestern community. Through a variety of multi-colored
interactive graphic panels and reproductions of historic
structures, the visitors begin a journey into the past.
The first phase, tracking the history of the founding,
is enhanced by murals and photo reproductions within historic
recreations. The use of audio visual elements and interactives
entices the visitor to envision the early expansion of
Naperville in the 1800's. Proto's fabrication of cases
to house graphics and artifacts positioned throughout the
exhibits leads the visitor to the twentieth century.
